Is the place for Greeks of the diaspora and even for people who were not born in Greece, but Greece was born in them and they feel like home. They can share their nostalgic experiences, feelings and unique memories from their life in Greece or even things they are missing.
Nostos is a theme dealt with many Homeric writing such as the Odyssey.
Just like Odysseus, they are continuously traveling and dreaming for their trip (nostos) back to Greece.
The concept of nostos (νόστος) — the return home — is deeply rooted in ancient Greek literature. In works such as the Odyssey, Homer explores the eternal longing for homeland. Just like Odysseus, who wandered for years dreaming of Ithaca, Greeks of the diaspora are constantly traveling — physically or emotionally — carrying within them the dream of return.
But My Nostos is more than memory.
It is a socially engaged, web-based art project that highlights the uniqueness of Greece — its light, its culture, its language, its people, its contradictions, its resilience.
It transforms nostalgia into connection.
It turns longing into dialogue.
It creates a shared digital Ithaca.
